Captain Jim Pemberton

 

Captain Pemberton began his fire service career as an Explorer in 1977 with the BMOP Volunteer Fire Company, Incorporated.  He received his Basic Fire and Basic EMT certifications in 1982. In 1985 he started his professional fire career with BMOP Fire Department, Incorporated obtaining his Professional Firefighter Certification that same year.  Jim received his certification as an Ohio Fire Inspector in 1986.  In 1990 he was promoted to Lieutenant with BMOP and then rose to the rank of Captain in 1999.
 
In 2000, Jim attended the University of Cincinnati Paramedic program and graduated in 2001. While in the paramedic program he was recognized by making the Dean's list in every quarter he attended. Jim also was awarded Honors for achieving all A's in his coursework.
 
Captain Pemberton has been with the District as a Captain since its inception in April of 2002.  Jim is responsible for overseeing 7 employees on Unit 3 at both stations as well as other duties delegated by the Fire Chief. Jim is a member of the Clermont County Fire Investigation Team and Past President of IAFF Local 4273.

Captain Brian Mungan

 

Captain Brian Mungan began his fire service career in 1993 at the age of 24 with the Mt. Healthy Fire Department.  While working as an EMT, Brian attended both Fire School at Diamond Oaks Training Center and Paramedic School at Bethesda North Paramedic Training Program. He graduated from both programs in 1994. That same year Brian began his professional career with the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department. Brian advanced to the rank of Lieutenant with Loveland-Symmes.
 
In September 2003 Captain Mungan joined the Central Joint Fire - EMS District as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Brian was promoted to the rank of Captain in March 2004 where he has been the supervisor for Unit 1 since that time.
 
Captain Mungan is a certified Paramedic, Level II Firefighter, Fire Inspector and Public Safety Diver with specialized training in Rope Rescue, Hazardous Materials, WMD / Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings, and Water Rescue.   Brian is currently a member of Task Force One Special Response Team.

Lieutenant Dave Baker

 

Lieutenant Baker began his career as an Explorer in 1992 at the age of 15 with the BMOP Volunteer Fire Company. In 1995 he became a volunteer Firefighter/EMT. In 1999 he was hired as a full-time career firefighter by BMOP. Dave attained his paramedic certification from the University of Cincinnati in 2001.
 
When the Central Joint Fire – EMS District was formed he was transitioned from BMOP as a full-time employee. In 2003 he became a Certified Fire Safety Inspector and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2004. As a line officer he is responsible for all activities on his assigned shift.
 
Lieutenant Baker has 17 years of experience in the fire service with 5 of those as a Lieutenant. He is a preceptor for the University of Cincinnati Paramedic Program.

Lieutenant Brad Dungan

 

Lieutenant Brad Dungan is in his twelfth year with the fire service. Prior to coming to Central Joint Fire – EMS District, he served nine years in the U.S. Navy and then was a career Firefighter/Paramedic with the City of Wilmington, Ohio Fire Department.
 
He first obtained his EMT certification and then attended a six-week class at the Ohio Fire Academy in Reynoldsburg to become a certified Firefighter. In 2002, Brad obtained his paramedic certification. He further continued his education at Southern State Community College and graduated with an AAS degree in Emergency Medical Services in 2004. He is also trained as a Hazardous Material Technician, Rope Rescue Technician and a provider of advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and pediatric advanced life support (PALS).
 
During his time off, Brad trains for and competes in triathlons and marathons. He lives in Wilmington with his wife, two children and the dog.

Lieutenant Glen Gregory

 

Lieutenant Glen Gregory began his career in 1981 as an Explorer with North Union Volunteer Fire Department. In 1985 he became a full-time career firefighter with North Union where he remained until moving to Batavia Fire and Rescue in 1990.
 
When the Central Joint Fire - EMS District was created in 2002, Glen transitioned to a full-time Lieutenant.  Lt. Gregory is a Paramedic, Fire Investigator, CPR Instructor, Fire Inspector and supervises the Senior Safety Program.  Lieutenant Gregory has also worked with the City of Springdale, Loveland-Symmes and the City of Milford as a part time firefighter.
 
Lieutenant Gregory has been married to his wife, Michele, for 22 years; has a daughter, Amber Nicole; and two sons, Michael and Nathan.
 
In his spare time, Glen volunteers as an assistant fast pitch softball coach at Batavia High School.

Lieutenant Greg A. Wehrum

 

Lieutenant Wehrum began his fire service career in 1989 with the Williamsburg Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. Greg became a certified basic firefighter later that same year. In 1992 Greg received his certification as an EMT. In 1994 he received his Professional Firefighter certification and started his professional career with the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department. In 1999 Greg graduated from the University of Cincinnati Paramedic Training Program. Greg also has an associate degree from Hocking College.
 
Lieutenant Wehrum has been with the Central Joint Fire - EMS District since May of 2004. He started with the District as a Firefighter/Paramedic and was promoted to the rank of lieutenant in September of that same year. Greg is responsible for the Fire Prevention Division, Child Safety Seat Division and is the Commander of the District's Honor Guard. Greg has been involved with organizations such as Task Force One Regional Rescue Team as a specialist and the Clermont County Arson Task Force as a fire investigator. Greg has also served as President of the Williamsburg Rotary Club and Williamsburg Area Jaycees. Greg is currently the treasurer of Central Fire District IAFF Local 4273.
